Buckthorn Bash Workshop
As part of our Gems in the Dune project, our community artists Sarah Jane Richards and Sian Hughes led participants along the Sefton Coast to show how they could help by managing habitat through buckthorn clearance. Using the cut buckthorn and other materials, participants created craftwork of the experience. They were accompanied by Gems in the Dunes experts who brought the dunes to life with their knowledge of flora and fauna while leading this crucial conservation work.
