Ladybird Spiders Creative Workshops
Starting with a tunnel and a secret message for the spider to read, children then decorated what they had made while learning about the habitat around them.
Later, all the children’s artwork was displayed at Arne during a festival opening day for local communities and visitors to enjoy.
On the reverse of the feedback form children showed what they had learnt:
‘I learnt male spiders leave their nests to find a female. When they do, they do a special dance to create a special vibration to assure the email won’t eat him. Also, when a ladybird spider finishes eating its prey they decorate their web with the leftovers.’
‘Baby spiders are called spiderlings. They decorate their homes with their preys skins’
