Walking Art Drawing and Painting
As part of our Gems in the Dunes project our community artist Sarah Jane Richards led a workshop that explored the natural treasures of the Sefton Coast whilst creating acrylic landscape paintings and drawings of the dunes, flora, sky and sea. Accompanied by Gem of the Dunes experts who brought the dunes to life with their knowledge of flora and fauna, participants looked at and connected with the landscape in a new way.
“Our aim is to use art to help people discover what species are endangered, how to value them and how to act to prevent their extinction” explained Sarah Jane “Working with Amphibian and Reptile Conservation we want to excite and engage the public with this incredible project.”
Event took place at
National Trust Formby
Formby, a National Trust site in Merseyside, is a glorious beach with dramatic sand dunes, surrounded by sweeping coastal pinewoods.
