You can also book onto a nature writing or animation workshop and pick up some new skills. Come and see an exhibition and screenings of the impressive competition winners, and awe-inspiring work from the Back from the Brink professional photographers and filmmakers. If you’re keen to get outside join us for a wildlife photography safari around Bristol’s historic Harbourside.

Wildlife Photography Safari with Iain Green
Learn the basics of wildlife photography and join Iain Green for an informative and fun wonder round Bristol harbour to capture some of its wild residents.

Explore how writers reconcile an appreciation for what is here (and now) with thoughts of impending no-return scenarios.

2pm - 4pm Animation workshop with Tom O'Meara  BOOK HERE
Tom O'Meara created the amazing Wind in the Willows trailer earlier this year, his incredible CV also includes credits on Isle of Dogs and a short film to promote the David Hockey retrospective at Tate Britain (Hockney said the film was ‘really cool’). Learn about the basic principles of animation whilst collaborating on a film made in a few short hours.

3.30pm - 5.30pm Intro to film-making with Euella Jackson BOOK HERE
Aged 14 -19? Have ideas but don' t know how to show them off ? Think film might be the way to do it? Then this workshop is for you!

We will be displaying the Back from the Brink film and photography competition winning photographs, as well as professional photographs of some of the incredible Back from the Brink projects and species.

Printing with Rosanna Morris Rosalind Franklin Room
Rosanna specialises in woodcuts and relief printmaking, working along themes of nature, horticulture and all aspects of food-growing. She will be on hand to help you print one of her beautiful designs to take home.
