Date: Wednesday 16th October

Time: 12.30pm - 4.30pm

As part of our Roots of Rockingham project learn how to identify British bat calls.

This is a fantastic opportunity!

You will learn how to analyse data recorded on full spectrum bat detectors using call analysis software. The software provides images of the calls (sonograms), allowing you to look at the call shape and parameters of each bat pass in detail.

Please bring your own laptop installed either with Windows 7, 8.1, and 10. For macOS you will need version 10.8 or later. Before you attend the session you will need to download a free copy of the Kaleidoscope Pro viewer. You will need to sign up to an account to download the software. The software needed is KaleidoscopeInstaller-5.1.9g.exe (Released 2019-04-15, Approved by U.S.F.W.S. using 5.1.0 classifiers with balanced setting for MYOSOD/MYOSEP surveys).

The training is free and refreshments will be provided.
