Online Event

Date: Saturday 9th January

Time: 2.00-4.00pm

Author Julia Thorley joins Back from the Brink's Roots of Rockingham team to bring you a creative writing workshop exploring the ecology and mythology of Rockingham Forest's bat species.

During this two hour workshop, we will explore the references to bats in literature including the the writings of John Clare and others. We will also look at the important species conserved through the project.

Through a range of exercises to stimulate the creative process, individual participants can experiment with whichever writing styles feel right for them, be they non-fiction, fiction, poetry or a variety.

We are limiting the participant numbers to 8 to allow for a quality experience in a safe virtual space. Participants can share their work live for feedback or keep it private if they wish. A Zoom link will be made available prior to the event exclusively for those who have pre-booked through Eventbrite here.
