Dare to Draw with Gems in the Dunes

Artist Amanda Clark-Price joins the Gems in the Dunes team to bring you an accessible drawing workshop. Inspired by the shifting sands and skies of one of our most precious environments exploring different textures, tones and contrasts.

During this 2 hour workshop you will learn tips and techniques using basic drawing equipment and produce a beautiful pencil drawing inspired by the Sefton Coast. It will suit those with little/no drawing experience or those looking to gain confidence and refresh their skills.

The workshop is completely free, you will just need to provide your own materials:

  • A paper viewfinder (piece of A4 paper with a 8cm x 10cm cut out of the middle)
  • 4B pencil
  • sharpener
  • 2 pieces of A4 scrap paper
  • 4 pieces of A4 cartridge paper or sketchbook
  • scissors
  • bit of kitchen roll
  • masking tape or sellotape

Numbers are limited for this workshop but we have plenty of other opportunities for you to get creative, keep an eye on the events page!
