Location:
Online Zoom Event
Date: Sunday 9th May 2021
Time: 6.00-7.30pm
Following on from our Natterjack Toad Creative writing workshop, our Gems in the Dune team would like you to be inspired by more rare creatures of the Sefton coastal dunes - lizards and beetles. It may sound like a list from a wizard’s spell book, and we may consider these creatures to be alien and strange. But are they really so different from us?
The workshops are free and will be held online by live video
Relax and be inspired
Learn fascinating information about these protected species from Gems in the Dunes experts Fiona and Andrew. Alongside the facts, allow myths, symbols, and your own imagination to create meaning and magic with words. You will be guided through creative writing activities by Hazel Mutch who aims to bring you exciting animal encounters, all from the comfort of your own home.
No creative writing experience necessary
Come away with a deeper knowledge of the coast, the fruits of your own creativity, and writing tips and ideas. If you enjoy writing you’ll be inspired. If you’re new to writing you’ll surprise yourself. You will be writing for yourself and for the enjoyment of it, although there will also be a chance for anyone to share their writing on a purely voluntary basis.
