A creative event exploring the endangered Little Whirlpool Ramshorn Snail and the ditches and environment it thrives in. The tiny and beautiful little snail can fit on the pad of one of your fingers - with room to spare!
Artists Andy Evans and Gemma Gottelier from Outdoor Studios will lead participants on a creative and mindful walk; collecting words and plants and making drawings and paintings, working with clay and natural pigments to create artworks inspired by the snail and Pulborough Brooks Nature Reserve - one of the last locations where the little snail can still be found.
An RSPB expert will speak about the snail, why it’s endangered and the Back the from the Brink project working to save the snail.
